‘Man dies for wealth, and birds for food’ — a maxim Su Han, despite being a newcomer to this otherworldly realm, understood perfectly. Her eyes gleamed with avarice at the prospect of valuable treasures. Naturally, she egged Bailuan on, suggesting they resort to robbery and murder. Yet, while taking a life was out of the question, seizing the goods was an entirely different matter.
When Alice realized someone was using stealth, a skill she herself excelled at, to track her, she was utterly astonished. The sensation was akin to a deliberate insult. Without a moment’s hesitation, she drew her intricately carved longbow, nocking a sharp arrow. As the bowstring was slowly pulled taut, ethereal streaks of green light seemed to spiral around the arrow shaft. With a resounding ‘whoosh,’ the arrow sliced through the air, hurtling directly towards Bailuan.
Bailuan recognized his own carelessness, yet he met the incoming arrow without a trace of fear. With a swift lean and tilt of his body, the arrow merely grazed his shoulder before embedding itself in the alley wall behind him, where it then dissolved into faint, nature-based elemental energy, dissipating into the air.
Emerging from stealth, Bailuan drew a magic staff and began to chant. The gem embedded at its tip glowed a mesmerizing, pigeon-blood red, radiating an almost bewitching light. An instant fireball spell surged forth, a devastating torrent that engulfed Alice entirely. She was instantly consumed by the fiery brilliance.
As a princess of the elven race, Alice was clearly not one to be easily defeated. An elemental barrier shimmered into existence, enveloping her completely. She then produced her own magic staff, embedded with a moonstone that emanated a soft, enchanting moonlight, captivating all who beheld it. Her alluring pink lips parted and closed rhythmically as ancient incantations were softly chanted. Pale green nature elements coalesced, forming a sky-filling rain of light. With a gentle wave of her staff, she unleashed ‘Myriad Arrows!’ Thousands of arrow-like projectiles, born from the ethereal light, hurtled relentlessly towards Bailuan.
Faced with such an overwhelming barrage of arrows sweeping towards him, Bailuan naturally couldn’t withstand them head-on. He executed a series of graceful rolls across the ground, deftly evading the arrow rain, then rose to his feet, casually dusting off his clothes. Meanwhile, the arrows nearby continued their assault—”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~!” Wherever the torrent of projectiles passed, countless holes of varying sizes pockmarked the surroundings. The arrows, formed from pure nature elements, vanished after their impact, dissipating back into the natural world.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, not bad at all,” Bailuan drawled, slowly closing the distance to Alice. “To have reached the Archmage level at such a tender age… and your instant-cast, Level 23 ‘Myriad Arrows of Falling Rain’ spell is quite proficient, wouldn’t you say?” Seeing him advance step by step, Alice, fearing his malicious intent, instinctively retreated.
“You’re not much older than anyone else; you’re clearly around the same age as her,” Su Han retorted, shooting Bailuan an exasperated look. Despite her words, Su Han had caught the subtle signal Bailuan sent her way.
Thus, as Alice’s attention became entirely fixated on Bailuan, Su Han cautiously crept up behind her.
“Who are you? What do you want?”
“What do I want?” Bailuan’s voice was laced with malice, his gaze leering as he stared at Alice. “This figure, these breasts, these hips… tsk, tsk, tsk, truly too tempting. This young master would love to drag you into a corner and properly ‘discipline’ you~!”
It must be said, even an Academy Award-winning actor might not compare to Bailuan. Despite being a girl, merely by inhabiting a male body, he managed to scare the pure, kind, and innocent little elf into trembling uncontrollably.
Alice was utterly startled by Bailuan’s vile words. As a kind-hearted little elf and a princess of the elven race, she had always heard the elders speak of humanity’s wickedness, their greed, their shamelessness, their despicable vulgarity and pretense. At the time, she hadn’t believed it, thinking such a vile race couldn’t possibly exist, and that the elders were merely fabricating tales to scare her. But to her shock, she had encountered one herself today. Now, she truly, unequivocally believed it: humans were indeed malicious, even plotting to defile her. This was far more terrifying than anything the elders had ever described about humans!
As Alice raised an elemental shield to her chest, her vigilance heightened, retreating step by step and constantly wary of Bailuan, she utterly forgot that her back was completely exposed. Seizing this crucial opportunity, Su Han gathered her strength and delivered a swift, heavy chop to the little elf’s neck.
The little elf promptly lost consciousness.
It wasn’t that Su Han possessed immense strength; rather, the elven race had a natural affinity for elements, granting them exceptionally powerful magical abilities with inherent bonuses. However, an elf’s physical body was incredibly fragile, not much different from a human’s. Thus, once their magical power was lost, an elf became remarkably vulnerable. If elves possessed strong physical bodies, they wouldn’t merely cultivate magic; they would also pursue bloodline cultivation, and the downfall of human empires would be but a matter of time.
Just imagine: a natural affinity for elements, magical bonuses, and a powerful physical body—wouldn’t that make them invincible? However, the heavens could not create a perfect creature, nor could they disrupt the world’s delicate balance. Therefore, after bestowing elves with extraordinary magical talent, the heavens introduced the flaw of a frail physical body to maintain equilibrium.
“The Nine Netherworld Flame is in her storage ring, and those rings are soul-bound to their masters. So, what do you plan to do?” Su Han asked, pointing to the ring on Alice’s finger.
“Bite her finger, squeeze out a drop of blood, mix it with your own, then smear it on the surface of the ring,” Bailuan instructed. “That way, both of you can access the ring!” He leaned against the wall, hands clasped behind his head.
“Eh? You want me to do it?”
“Otherwise?” Bailuan countered. “You know, my current body is male. If anyone saw, they’d accuse a royal prince of defiling an innocent little elf, and my lifelong reputation would be utterly ruined!”
“Ugh~” Su Han looked at him with extreme disdain.
After a moment’s hesitation, Su Han finally steeled herself. She bit her own finger, letting a drop of blood fall into her palm. Then, she grasped Alice’s slender hand, and with a trembling tongue, licked her index finger.
“So sweet~!” she murmured. “I truly can’t bear to stop!” Alice’s faint body scent and the inherent sweetness of her finger made Su Han utterly unable to resist. Anyone unaware of the circumstances might have mistaken the scene for a yuri romance.
Having sampled such an unexpected delicacy, Su Han finally succumbed to temptation. Her sharp canine teeth bit into Alice’s tender index finger, drawing a few drops of crimson. While she only needed one drop to mix with the blood in her palm, she couldn’t resist consuming the remaining few drops, leaving not a single trace.
“Gross, otaku are truly disgusting~!” Bailuan couldn’t help but shiver in revulsion, goosebumps prickling his skin. Although it appeared to be two girls engaging in illicit activities—no, rather, one girl engaging in illicit activities with another girl!—the girl performing the act wasn’t a true girl, but a girl who had undergone a gender-swap!
More accurately, she was a futanari cross-dresser! And a disgusting otaku!
“But it really was sweet and delicious~!” Su Han countered, licking her alluring pink lips, which, stained with blood, appeared exceptionally captivating.
“Alright, alright, hurry up and finish before the blood dries and you have to do it all over again!” Bailuan said, frowning.
Su Han applied the mixture of her and Alice’s blood to the pale green ring on her ring finger. A faint, ethereal glow emanated from within the ring, and the Nine Netherworld Flame pulsed with a sickly green light. Su Han then willed it into her own storage ring.
Su Han, having smoothly placed the ‘Nine Netherworld Flame’ into her ring, shamelessly declared, “Ahem, you already have a mech crafted by the Dark Demonic Dragon, so… this… this Nine Netherworld Flame should just come to me! Anyway, you old-timer won’t need it, and with me, it’ll truly be put to good use. I’ll restore its full power!”
Bailuan had never encountered such brazen shamelessness, yet he said nothing, for Su Han was unaware that his mech was imbued with the Dark Divine Flame, a manifestation of this world’s highest rules.
“It was meant for you anyway. It didn’t cost a penny, so if you want it, it’s yours! And that audacious idea of robbing and killing was yours too. However, this is an elf of considerable standing; she cannot be killed. Just leave her here; she should wake up before long. Oh, and for the Nine Netherworld Flame, remember to perform the blood-binding ritual and use your soul to bond with it, or else it might backfire and burn you to death one day!”
“Even with soul-bonding, be careful, or it might burn you into an idiot!” Bailuan added as a further warning.
“Alright, alright, I get it!” Su Han thought to herself, ‘I already knew that, even if you hadn’t said anything. My good buddy was the one who tamed the Earth Fire during the internal testing back then! How could I not know, having been by his side for so long?’
