Fortunately, the revolt of the unpaid slaves… I mean, the moderators, was quickly subdued.
Anyway, it was something that someone had to do, and they seemed to understand the reasoning that there wasn’t much to manage because the forum was small.
Well, it’s not like I said anything extra. They just made up their own excuses.
“Anyway, I don’t really plan on making any rules. Just, you know, keep things within reasonable limits on your own….”
— *Leave it to the Lene fans lol*
“Usually, people who say things like that are troublemakers, right? Or am I not supposed to say that?”
— *Tenryun*
— *Fact: That’s true*
Anyway, it seems like everything ended without any issues, which is a relief.
“Now then…”
— *If you ask ‘What now?’, you’re dead for real, lol*
“I wasn’t going to say ‘what now,’ though. Actually, I’ve prepared something….”
I’m not lying.
I’ve been preparing this since I thought of creating the fan cafe.
Its name is…!
“A Q&A session… Ask Lene anything…! Woohoo….”
*Clap, clap, clap*, applause echoed.
— *What if no one has any questions?*
— *Are you really going to teach us everything?*
— *Your voice sounds so tired, lol*
“Hmm….”
The response is colder than I expected.
I thought they’d like this…
“…Should we just not do it?”
— *If you’re going to make us suffer through a crappy Q&A, better not, lol*
— *I was actually curious about a lot of things, haha*
The atmosphere in the chat quickly changed at my words.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a bit confused about what to believe, but since I prepared various answers, I decided to go ahead with it.
I opened my notepad, typed ‘Question 1’, and waited for the chat’s reaction.
— *How far can we go with the questions?*
The first question was about the limits of the questions.
“As long as it’s something that anyone can see, and you don’t cross any obvious lines, I’ll answer as much as I can.”
This concept of “line” is quite vague, but I trust that the Lene fans will know how to handle it.
— *How old are you?*
— *Age*
— *Real name*
— *How did you start streaming?*
And with that, the chat started scrolling up a bit faster than usual.
Let’s start with the basics.
“My real name is Selene. So, people around me called me Lene.”
— *Starting with nonsense already, lol*
— *So you’re “Sel” then? lol*
—Is this guy a foreigner? Is that really your real name?
I only said my name, but the chat is buzzing.
Is my age and name really that surprising? It’s not like foreigners are rare on internet broadcasts.
“Well, I am technically a foreigner… but I have Korean nationality now. And yes, that’s my real name….”
I think of myself as a true Korean, but it’s true that I came from the other world.
I wonder if it’s okay to call someone who’s lived in another world a foreigner… But I can’t exactly tell the whole truth.
“As for my surname… A girl who lives upstairs asked me if my surname was ‘Sel,’ so I just went with that, haha.”
In reality, I don’t have parents, so I don’t have a surname… but there’s no need to go into that.
Not that I don’t have a surname at all.
The church gave surnames to orphans, but it didn’t mean much to me, so I never really cared.
“And as for my age… um, I’m 20. But I’ll be turning 21 soon since my birthday is coming up.”
─If you’re 20, are you a college student?
Are you here as an exchange student?
“I’m not a college student. I only went to school up until middle school….”
-Wow
-Didn’t know you only finished middle school
Well, I’m actually 16… but what can I do?
The government here calls me 20….
Why do they decide someone’s age like that?
Sure, there are things you can only do as an adult, and life is more convenient… but losing four years still doesn’t feel great.
It’s probably that damn Iah’s fault, right?
That horrible woman.
As I keep talking, I suddenly get curious.
“By the way, don’t people in Korea still use Korean age?”
As far as I remember before I died in my previous life, Korea still used the ‘Korean age.’
The kind where you’re 1 year old as soon as you’re born, and you gain another year on January 1st, which people called ‘Korean-style age.’
So, when I first came back to Earth, I naturally thought, based on my ID, that I was 20 in Korean age and 19 in international age.
But that wasn’t the case.
Since 2023, apparently? People started avoiding the use of Korean age.
I didn’t look into the reasons because I couldn’t be bothered, but apparently, that’s how it is now.
When I found out, for a second, I thought, ‘Is this not even Earth?’
Of course, the other world naturally used international age.
The concept of time was a little different, but they still had the concepts of years and birthdays.
So when I first mentioned the idea of ‘Korean age,’ Iah and the other priests around her laughed and said, “So you could be two years old in just one day?”
Those jerks.
It was a kid talking about something they didn’t understand, no need to laugh like that.
-What the hell, what are you even talking about
-Didn’t this guy just say he was 20?
-So was this Lene just a complete old fart? lol
─I guess Korean age is still famous in some foreign countries haha
—I only learned about that at school recently haha
-Booomerrr
“By the way, aren’t those guys all old farts too?”
– “You can tell that just by looking at the old fart community, right? Haha.”
– “Seeing old farts mention their age twice is dizzying.”
— “I’m an old fart, but I don’t mention my age.”
As I was thinking about this, the chat room began to heat up. Just knowing your age is enough to be called an old fart these days.
South Korea. Is it okay like this? I don’t think so…
“So, you’re saying you don’t mention your age…?”
– “If you know someone who uses that, think of them as a total old fart.”
– “Who taught this guy that nonsense? Haha.”
Is it time for my previous life to be called a total old fart too? My heart aches…
“So, shall we wrap up this topic and move on to other questions…?”
– “Why is he taking that kind of concept in NewD?”
– “What does ‘Inquisition’ mean?”
– “Is this guy really a girl?”
I ignored the questions about gender. I had said I would gloss over gender-related questions last time. I didn’t want to complicate things unnecessarily, and for my grand plan, this was the right choice.
…That said, these guys have a lot of questions about my play in Newdi. Why do they think it’s a concept? I was a real Inquisitor in that world.
So, the Ellun cult, which I considered a heresy in NewD, is indeed heretical. Inquisitor… hmm. No, I’m a real priest. I know NewD is a game, but maybe because I’m a real priest, it feels a bit off.
“I am…”
– “Can a 20-year-old be a priest?”
– “From what I know, you can start at 24.”
— “Is this guy a cultist? Hahaha.”
“If someone goes to this extent to speak, isn’t it better to think there’s a reason behind it…? There must be something that can’t be said.
To put it simply, I became a priest at a very young age due to special circumstances. Usually, those older than me are priests…”
In the other world, you could be appointed a priest from the age of 15, not 24. Of course, that was just the rule; realistically, you had to be over 20.
The youngest priest I knew there was around 25, which means at least a 10-year gap. Well, if you consider experience, I was definitely the senior.
“And I’m not a cultist. If I were, I would be trying to convince you all… but I’m not doing that, right? I don’t want to impose my faith on anyone.”
If I were a cultist, Christianity would be a cult too. Well, actually, from my perspective, it might be a cult. But I don’t care too much since Earth has its own religious views.
What I truly hate are those who stray from the righteous path—real heretics. Like the Ellun cult in NewD.
“I don’t want to impose my beliefs (while smashing heads).”
— “Is it right for someone who says that to smash heads whenever they see priests or paladins, Tenryeon???”
– The Inquisition (for real) is breaking down, haha.
─ What are those new Inquisitors doing? Seriously, they’re the real heretics, haha.
“Hey, they’re real heretics, you know…? I mean, do you really believe in that god Elune? You don’t, do you…? It’s just a game system, so you’re calling yourselves priests, paladins, and inquisitors, right…? I’m not forcing anyone to have faith, but just because it’s heresy doesn’t mean it’s okay. Got it…?”
– It’s oddly logical, which makes me even angrier, lol.
– I almost got persuaded just now, haha.
─ I believe in the god Elune! I pray sincerely every day!
“…
…Is that so? Then ‘Aww baby, give me my milk’… I’ll ban you for 3 minutes. You need to repent and come back. …It seems like you need to repent starting with your nickname.”
– Look at that vulgar nickname, lol.
– No matter how vulgar the nickname is, that’s not a reason to die…
─ I saw someone die right in front of me, haha.
– The price of speaking your mind, sob sob.
― I won’t forget you, martyr…
I just wanted to play as a priest…
But why are there so many chat messages trying to protect those heretics?
I’m sure there wasn’t a single heretic in my broadcast…
Hmm. I should check again later to see if there are any heretics.
One of the things heretics are best at is hiding within the congregation and waging a war of public opinion.
