The End of a Planet

Throughout their years living in the same neighborhood and attending the same high school, Han Kangwoon and Seo Yijae had never crossed paths.

Then one day, a soccer ball kicked by Han Kangwoon accidentally hit Seo Yijae, and the two finally started talking.

As if drawn together by an irresistible force, the distance between them naturally began to close.

Before long, Seo Yijae realized something.

He had fallen for Han Kangwoon, who seemed perfect in every way and even had a girlfriend.

And that realization left him confused about his own feelings.

“Yijae.”

A heart shouldn’t have been able to beat that fast.

He was terrified the pounding deep in his chest might be audible to the person standing in front of him.

He should have said something, anything at all, but the moment his eyes met Han Kangwoon’s, he couldn’t make a sound.

“Do you trust me?”

Yijae blinked.

It was a question he had never once considered.

Han Kangwoon tugged on his hand.

His body followed as though being pulled along by a current.

Han Kangwoon asked again.

“I’m asking if you trust me.”

Yijae’s reflection wavered in Han Kangwoon’s eyes.

“Why do you think I followed you here?”

It was a quiet answer in the form of a question.

Did he trust Han Kangwoon?

The question itself made no sense.

The possibility of not trusting Han Kangwoon had never existed to begin with.

At least, for Yijae, standing there and looking straight into Han Kangwoon’s eyes, the question was so obvious it wasn’t even worth answering.

Han Kangwoon ran a hand through his hair.

His soaked hair swept back neatly from his forehead.

The faint smile that slipped onto his face was devastatingly handsome.

The thin veins standing out across the back of the hand holding Yijae’s looked almost fierce.

His grip tightened around Yijae’s hand.

Suddenly, Yijae wanted to run away.

“Seo Yijae.”

The moment Han Kangwoon called his name, Yijae wanted to lower his head.

Because he had already guessed what Han Kangwoon was about to say.

“Want to kiss?”
